The CEO of Lakeview Regional Hospital calls for change after a patient is forced to wait eleven hours before being seen by a doctor in the emergency department. Players lead an initiative to reduce patient wait times in the emergency department and increase patient satisfaction by implementing lean practices. Provided with a limited budget and a deadline, players must interview key stakeholders, manage risks unique to health care, and implement change tactics to build stakeholder buy-in for lasting, successful change.

Lakeview Simulation Teaches Change Leadership in Health Care

Toronto, Ontario – ExperiencePoint announced today the launch of ExperienceChange Lakeview (“Lakeview”), a change leadership simulation for health care developed in partnership with the Collaborative for Health Sector Strategy at the University of Toronto.

“Present economic conditions challenge all organizations to do more and more with less and less,” says ExperiencePoint co-founder James Chisholm. “Lakeview is timely as it helps leaders to manage the change to a lean-focused organization.”
