ExperiencePoint is growing!

Paul Phillips, Managing Director

My background is senior leadership positions in North America working with blue chip companies (e.g. Walt Disney Company) as well as not for profit and smaller entrepreneurial organizations. This has given me a unique perspective on the dynamics of various organizational models and the key success drivers for each. I am thrilled to be joining the incredible EP team and continuing my passion for learning and look forward to adding value to the great partners we work with.

Dan Parkinson, Account Executive

A design blog I follow, SwissMiss, recently posted this quote from Howard Thurman:

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

I’ve seen this before and do my best to roll it into the decisions I make. As an example, this morning the weatherman happened to mention that it felt like -37C (-35F) outside so I put on an extra layer, strapped on my ski goggles and loved every minute of my bicycle ride to work. Like my daily ride, spending my days resourcing people with experientially-based training tools promoting more innovation, design thinking and healthy change in the workplace energizes me. Add to that the opportunity to work with a team that, at all levels, has received me with generosity and embodies a ‘hungry, humble, smart’ approach to their work. It’s a privilege to work with them and I look forward to paying it forward. The future is exciting! All the best to you and yours in 2014. I’m looking forward to meeting you.

Caustan De Riggs, Account Executive

“I started my career as a motivational speaker and comedian over a decade ago. You would never think it, but it teaches you how to understand and delight your audience on a regular basis. It’s also one of the most energizing things that you can do, and forces you to kick fear to the curb.

Let’s fast forward – Shows turned into keynotes, keynotes turned into workshops, and workshops turned into consulting on projects. Eventually one of my more rewarding activities became understanding what partners needed and then delivering practical strategies to get it done. Finding the right opportunity for those who trust you became such a satisfying experience and I wanted to jump in on a larger scale. Facilitating partnerships and uncovering opportunities to do business better, smarter, and with a focus on people became my ideal working space.

Joining the ExperiencePoint team provided the platform to achieve this on a greater scale. Working with a network of seasoned leaders in change and innovation around the world in delivering our simulations is a holistic experience. Frankly, it’s great to work with such a client-focused and down to earth team that is committed to making experience a better teacher!

Graham Stewart, Account Manager of Academic Partnerships

I was raised by two self-employed consultants, both heavily involved in professional development, and had drafted and edited training materials for some major corporations before I could drive.

While my experiences since have brought me beyond that world, I’m excited to be right back in it. The opportunity to help professors and professionals impact the learning and development of their students, employees and clients is something I am excited to taking on.
